Egan Hub Storage, LLC received approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to develop and operate a new 8.0 billion cubic feet (Bcf) working gas capacity (10.5 Bcf total capacity) salt dome storage cavern (Cavern #3), a 16.52-mile, 24-inch diameter header, modifications to existing facilities (Texas Eastern M&R station and East M&R station), and associated appurtenant facilities. Egan Hub is located on the Jennings Salt Dome in west-central Acadia Parish, in Evangeline, Louisiana. The completion of Cavern #3 will increase Egan Hub’s ability to provide firm storage services and interruptible hub services meeting the demand for storage in this region. With construction underway, Egan Hub expects the initial phase of Egan Cavern #3 to be in-service by mid-2009.
