U.S. Gas Transmission Expansion Projects

Algonquin Islander East

• Location: Connecticut and New York
• Length: 50 miles
• Capacity: 260 million cubic feet per day
• Ownership Interest: 50 percent Spectra Energy, 50 percent Keyspan Energy
• Projected Completion Date: Post 2010

Bronco Pipeline

• Location: Connecting supply basins in Wyoming, Utah and Colorado to Western markets and terminating near Malin, Oregon
• Interconnects: Numerous interconnects possible
• Capacity: More than 1 Billion cubic feet (Bcf) per day
• Ownership Interest: 100 percent Spectra Energy
• Projected Completion Date: Discussions with potential customers under way. In-service date dependent upon subscription level.

East-To-West Expansion Project

• Location: Massachusetts and Connecticut
• Length: 12.9 miles of new pipeline and 18.5 miles of replacement pipe
• Capacity: 1.0 billion cubic feet per day
• Ownership Interest: 100 percent Spectra Energy
• Projected Completion Date: November 2009

J-2 Loop Project

• Location: Medford and Somerville, Massachusetts
• Scope: Approximately 2 miles of 14-inch diameter loop pipeline
• Interconnects: NSTAR Gas Company
• Ownership Interest: 100 percent Spectra Energy
• Projected Completion Date: Fall 2009

Maritimes & Northeast Phase IV

• Location: Maine and Massachusetts
• Facilities in the U.S.: Approximately 1.7 miles of 30-inch diameter pipeline loop located adjacent to its existing pipeline in Baileyville, Maine; five new compressor stations in the communities of Eliot, Westbrook, Searsmont, Brewer and Woodchopping Ridge in Maine; two new meter stations in Baileyville and Westbrook, Maine; modifications to existing compressor stations in Baileyville and Richmond, Maine and to existing meter stations in Baileyville, Maine and Dracut, Massachusetts.
• Capacity: Increase of approximately 418,000 dekatherms per day (Dth/d) to approximately 833,000 Dth/d
• Ownership Interest: 77.53 percent Spectra Energy; 12.92 percent Emera, Inc.; 9.55 percent ExxonMobil Corporation
• Projected Completion Date: November 2008

Market Hub Partners - Copiah

• Location: Copiah, Mississippi
• Interconnects: Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation and Southeast Supply Header
• Capacity: Certificated for 15.5 Bcf
• Ownership Interest: 100 percent Spectra Energy
• Projected Completion Date: Initial in-service 2011; full capacity 2015

Northern Bridge

• Location: Clarington, Ohio to Oakford / Delmont, Pennsylvania
• Interconnects: Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation, LP and Clarington, Ohio supply point
• Capacity: Up to 500 million cubic feet per day
• Ownership Interest: 100 percent Spectra Energy
• Projected Completion Date: November 2009

Ramapo Expansion

• Location: New Jersey, New York and Connecticut
• Scope: Approximately 4.8-miles of 42" take-up and relay, over 81,000 HP of additional compression and two meter station modifications
• Capacity: 325,000 dekatherms per day
• Ownership Interest: 100 percent Spectra Energy
• Projected Completion Date: November 2008

Southeast Supply Header

• Location: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama
• Facilities: Approximately 270 miles of pipeline, three mainline compressor stations, two booster compressor stations, and interconnecting facilities
• Capacity: Approximately 1 Billion cubic feet per day
• Ownership Interest: 50-50 Joint Venture between Spectra Energy and CenterPoint Energy Gas Transmission
• Projected Completion Date: Summer 2008

Steckman Ridge

• Location: Bedford County, Pennsylvania
• Interconnects: Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation, LP and Dominion Transmission
• Capacity: 12 billion cubic feet (Bcf)
• Ownership Interest: 50 percent Spectra Energy Transmission, LLC and 50 percent NJR Steckman Ridge Storage Company
• In-Service Date: April 2009

TEMAX and Time III Projects

• Location: Ohio and Pennsylvania
• Capacity: 455 million cubic feet per day
• Projected In-Service Date: November 2010

Texas Eastern Appalachia to Market Expansion Program (TEAM)

• Location: Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania
• Scope: Multiple year supply connection and expansion program that can grow each year as the production grows
• Capacity: Targeting 300 million cubic feet per day, but project can be scaleable and sized to meet customer needs and based on actual commitments
• Interconnects: 30 plus
• In-service Dates: as early as 2011 with additional interest ramping up over the next few years as production efforts expand
• Ownership Interest: 100 percent Spectra Energy

Texas Eastern Logan Lateral

• Location: Pennsylvania and New Jersey
• Length: 11 miles
• Capacity: 900 million cubic feet per day
• Ownership Interest: 100 percent Spectra Energy
• Projected Completion Date: 4Q 2011

• Status: Construction underway

Dawn-Trafalgar Transmission Expansion

• Location: Bright, Ontario
• Elements: Addition of [up to] 45,000 hp of natural gas compression.
• Capacity: Increase of 360 million cubic feet per day
• Projected Completion Date: Fall, 2008
• Status: Construction underway

Heritage Natural Gas Storage Pool Project

• Location: Near Sarnia, Ontario
• Elements: Development of a natural gas storage pool.
• Capacity: Increase of one billion cubic feet of natural gas storage
• Projected Completion Date: 2009

The Tipperary Storage Pools Project

• Location: Huron County, Ontario
• Elements: development of the Tipperary North and South natural gas storage pools.
• Capacity: Three billion cubic feet of new natural gas storage
• Projected Completion Date: Spring, 2008
• Status: Pools are being filled, dehydrator to be installed

TransCanada Energy - Halton Hills Generating Station Pipeline Project

• Location: Halton Hills, Ontario
• Elements: Natural gas pipeline to serve a new 683 MW gas fired electricity generating plant
• Projected Completion Date: August, 2009
• Status: OEB Approval received

Western Canada Expansion Projects

Pine River De-Bottleneck and Looping Project

• Location: Chetwynd, British Columbia
• Length: 17 km
• Capacity: 40 million cubic feet per day of gathering capacity
• Ownership Interest: 100 percent Spectra Energy
• Projected Completion Date: November 2008 - pending regulatory approval

South Peace Pipeline

• Location: South Peace area of northeast BC
• Length: 86.1 kilometres
• Capacity: 221 mmcf/d
• Projected In-service Date: Q3 2009
• Cost: Approximately C$100 million

West Doe II

• Location: Peace River Arch area, NE British Columbia
• Length: 54 km pipeline
• Plant Ownership Interest: 100 percent Midstream
• Pipeline Ownership Interest: 50 percent Midstream
• Plant Capacity: 30 million cubic feet per day expansion; total West Doe capacity will be 53.5 million cubic feet per day
• Plant Completion Date: January 2009 (pending regulatory approvals)
• Pipeline Completion Date: April 2008
• Cost: Approximately C$41 M
